dCache 1.9.5 Golden Release
 As most of you already noticed, dCache 1.9.5-2
is available at dCache.org. The release is in production at NDGF since
Wednesday. Problems found in 1.9.5-1 are fixed. However new issues were
reported and are under investigation. Please help us polishing the
Golden Release by installing and testing it on your pre-production
systems.
dCache 1.9.6 release date scheduled for Dec 1.
The fact that dCache will support the Golden Release for an extended
period of time doesn't prevent us from continuing our regular release
process. The dCache team agreed on scheduling the 1.9.6 for the 1st of
December. Stay tuned for information on exciting improvements and new
features.
Release End Of Life announcement
In order to limit the support load on the development team we are
starting to deprecate dCache releases < 1.9.4. We will begin with
1.9.3. So please consider upgrading to more recent releases in a timely
fashion. The VDT (1.9.2) and gLite (1.9.1) releases will be declared
EOL in cooperation with those projects.
