The maintenance module is designed to perform regular duties on a dCache system. Those tasks may run in parallel and may be busy for a long period of time or even permanently. Users may attach to those tasks and manipulate their behaviour. The first paragraph describes the framework itself and subsequent paragraphs the different loadable modules.
